Описание
This authentic traditional house is situated 130 km (81 miles) from Bucharest, 25 min drive from the town of Valenii de Munte and is located in the Sub-Carpathian region, very close to the Tabla Butii pass on the old Romanian border and to the former Roman castrum of Drajna. Close enough to the dam in Maneciu.
The village of Slon is the “ultimate frontier”, it is surrounded by mountains from three sides, so there are plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking and picnics.
The space
The house was partly refurbished and rebuilt to replicate a former house (originally a little bit smaller – the one in the story above). It can accommodate around 4 couples (up to 8 people very comfortably, but up to 12 if you have small children or are willing to come with a larger group and squeeze a little).
The house is made up of a spacious kitchen, 1 bathroom (with a great bathtub), 1 bedroom (king size bed) and 1 living room (containing a sofa bed) at the first floor and 2 bedrooms (one with a king size bed and another with two separate beds, that can fit 1-2 persons each), a bathroom (with a shower) and a lovely reading niche in the loft with a few books available, mainly in Romanian).
Linen and towels will be left for you in some baskets, on/near each bed.
We have Velux windows in the attic, and thick windows downstairs and central heating (that functions with wood and also on electricity as back up), so, of course, running water.
There is a smart TV available (for Netflix), Wi-Fi internet and a few board games that you will find in the living room.
The kitchen is large, comfortable, easy to use and fully functional, so you can feel at home. You will find everything: pans, pots, plates, and cutlery for more than 10 people and also find everything you need for dishwasher cleaning and cleaning the kitchen after cooking, including a dishwasher. The table in the kitchen is expandable, there are extra chairs for you on a side (you can also use those chairs outside).
We have put a lot of soul in the decoration of the house (which is still work in progress), so please take good care of the objects you will find. Some of them have great sentimental value, some of them were hard to procure and some of them were really expensive.
Outside in the grill area we have an old wood cooking stove and a grill. Near the grill, you will find an expandable table and you can bring the expandable chairs available in the kitchen.
The wood for the central heating and for the grill is available outside, near the grill and on the northern side of the house wall. The central heating is fueled in the cellar, where you will find the technical room. Once you book, if there is a cool season, you will be provided with a little demo film concerning the fueling of the heater.
We started a little garden, in the corner near the fountain we plant herbs each spring, feel free to use them for cooking if you need to, but please protect the area. Also, please protect the little (for the moment) areas with flowers.
We are kindly asking our guests to respect the house’s two main rules: please do not smoke inside the house; please use slippers inside (we provide a large range of models in the bascket near the door).

No restriction, except the techical equipment from cellar (the guests can use only the technical equipments they were instructed for)
Other things to note
The heating of the house is provided by a wood plant mainly. Do not panic, we provide all necessary training to use the wood plant, even someone to help you make a fire , and also the chopped wood and all the materials you need to make fire.
