Casuta cu Alune (The Hazelnut Cottage) is a cozy little cabin, built with love, patience, and respect for it's beautiful natural surroundings.
We gathered in harmony traditions from our ancestors, we joined together the old and the new, and added just enough modern amenities so you would have a perfectly confortable vacantion.
The wood-work and the simple tranquility of the roumanian mountain cottage lives in harmony under the same roof with the vibrant and gourmelicious style of the hungarian households from the Trascau village.
Casuta cu Alune is a love story, made of edelweiss and chilly pepers! The cozy table-seat near the stove, the old, painted furniture, the happy, enflourished dishes, thay all conspire to take you back to your childhood, when you stormed the kitchen in search of grandma's delicious cookies. Who doesn't miss that?
To feel completely free, to lose track of time, and of all the "must do" of our modern lives! Free to elope on an adventure anytime, free to explore, free to walk barefoot in the grass! Free to spend an entire lazy day reading under the chery tree, if that's what you wish, with a cup of coffe by your side!
In this whild place we have regained the energy of our happiest moments, the playfulness of the summer days, and the serenity of mind, beneth the shiny stars of the night sky. And our desire is to share all that with you!
The Cabin Space
When you see the cabin's high brick chimney, you know you have reached your destination. Casuta cu Alune welcomes you in a big, green garden suitable for childrens games.
The fully equiped kitchen and the barbeque patio invite you to cook some delicious meals, and since the closest restaurant is 20 km away, it's best to have some recepies prepared!
Both bedrooms are on the first floor. The smaller one has two single beds, and it's especialy designed for children. The main bedroom has one double bed and one single bed, as well as a TV, with USB media player, a romantic stove for winter nights, and a private bathroom equiped with shower.
If you need an extra bedroom, the livingroom downstairs offers a double, extensible couch, a TV (with USB media player), its own wardrobe closet and a private batroom with a bathtub. And if you're a bit nostalgic, you can even take a nap on the cozy banch-bed near the wood stove, just like in a childhood fairytale! Casuta cu Alune welcomes you to feel just so!
Activities
Cozy and welcoming, Casuta cu Alune is the perfect get-away for a vacation in the heart of nature. If you are yearning for the silence of the forest, the freshness of the air or the sound of the valey, you will find it here. And if you are eager to explore the mountain tracks in search of whild animals and plants, you'll have the chance to admire plenty protected species, including the rare edelweiss flower.
Hidden at the crossroads of two spectacular protected areas, Cheile Manastirii and Cheile Râmetului, Casuta cu Alune is the perfect starting point for a surprising adventure, generously reworded with the fantastic views of the majestic clifs surrounding our valley like some protective giants. This is a place famous for it's healing energy, benefiting both your body and your soul.
The monastic tradition of the Valley wich goes back more than 800 years is still well kept by the nuns and flourishes in the Râmet Monastery, very sugestively named the "Heaven's Garden of the Apuseni Mountains".
"Cheile Manastirii are like a portal to the Trascau Mountains. Starting from there, is no exageration to say that you entered the Land of Peaks. A land that may seem at the end of the world, but is actualy closer than you think."
Location
Situated within a confortable distance of only 38 km from Alba Iulia and 100 km from Cluj Napoca, Valea Manastirii is an ideal weekend get-away destination for families travelling with small children.
The asphalt road ends 500m from our property, soon after you drive past the Monastery, and continues with a paved road, suitable for bicycle trips as well.

O locatie de vis! Am petrecut o aniversare minunata la aceasta casuta. Totul este la superlativ. Este atat de bine dotata, incat nu-ti mai trebuie nimic. Gazda extraordinar de primitoare!

Casuta cu alune- revenim!!!
“ Casuta cu alune " a fost o alegere excelenta pentru un weekend de relaxare! Situată in Valea Mănăstirii, aproape de… manastire, casuta are o energie si cibratie excelente. Gasiti liniste, pace, o curatenie si o ordine desavarsite oferite de gazde, iar amenajarea are un stil feminin si traditional- cochet. Doamna Cristina- gazda- e atente la toate detaliile iar asta se vede în fiecare colțișor al căsuței. Recomandăm "Casuta cu Alune" celor care caută un loc autentic in natura!
Minunat!
Am petrecut în familie 4 zile de neuitat. Casuța din curtea amenajată cu gust este un loc rupt din poveste, la poalele munților ale căror creste ți se înfățișează dimineața în fereastra de la etaj. Gazda ne-a întâmpinat cu bunătăți și, binețeles, cu alune :D.
Ne-au plăcut mult atenția acordată unor detalii, detalii pe care va las placerea sa le descoperiți și voi. Mulțumim!

pozele nu arata in intregime cat de fain e:
desi e la maxim 30min de pe A10, ajungi fix intre munti. casa are muntele in spate, peste drum un rau, iar de jur imprejur iarasi munti.
casa este f curata, miroase bine, are toata facilitatile posibile, inclusiv foisorul cu gratar.
pare mana de designer la interior.
atmosfera e ca-n povesti.
livingul cu cele doua zone frumoase rau.
faptul ca are doua bai, sus jos e un mega plus.
pretul e sub piata
