A concept Villa designed for people who wish to relax away for the rush of the city, in an enchanting apple orchard.

"The Place" is located in the most famous Apple Orchards region from Romania, Voinesti, where you will find plenty of space for you to connect with yourself, to spend quality time with your family or enjoy a celebration with friends.

Yoga retreats, Team Buildings, Board meetings, or Family and Friends gatherings - the space is perfect for all of them. Here, you will find everything you need and more: fresh roasted coffee, fresh fruits and homemade goodies.

When creating the space we have thought about remote working needs, offering you a dedicated desk space and a high speed wi-fi connection. The villa is meant to be booked in full and will offer you :

Our story

In 1989, the construction of the cellar in the orchard began, and in 1994 the house was completed. A generous space , designed for our soul: to be "home" and to offer us space for spending the holidays with the extended family.

For over 20 years we took care of it, we made small improvements and it has served as a shelter for the apple harvest.

In 2020, we decided that it was time to share our lifetime project with other beautiful people and that's how the concept of the Apple Orchard Villa was born.

After a year of intense work, a project created together with a talented designer, a lot of passion and determination, the dream has become a reality.

Craita Merelor The PLACE is the place where dreams come true, and nature is at home.

Location & Surroundings

Located at only 2 h from Bucharest, 2h from Sinaia and Bran, in the Voinesti Apple Area, it can easily be reached by car at any day of the week and time of the year. Henri Coanda Airport is the closest, and easily reached by car.

On Waze or Google, just search for "Craita Merelor, The Place" and you will reach the parking at the location.

You will be located in the most appreciated apple area in the country, also known as "The Apple Homeland", surrounded by Apple trees and beautiful hills, covered by dense forests.

With a tradition of over 70 years in Apple Orchards, here, you will find delicious apple varieties such as: Jonathan, Golden, Starkrimson, Mutzy, Generos or Voinea.

Over the past 40 years, we have sprinkled in the 8000 m2 orchard, over 8 varieties of apples, 4 varieties of plums, 6 varieties of pears, 6 varieties of cherries, nectarines, peaches, quinces, blackberries and raspberries, strawberries and even a fig tree.

The exotic star is represented by "Nordic Bannana" also known as The Paw Paw fruit, a species of exotic fruits, ready to harvest at the end of August: Mango texture, with the taste of pineapple, banana and mango, sheltered by a tall and vigorous tree.

The Tulip Tree, together with Ginkgo Biloba are unique in the area and we are happy to see them grow in our orchard.

Activities

Targoviste, the Old Capital city of Romania is 30 minute away from our location, where you can visit 9 museums, including History and Art, the Old City Citadel, and the Dealu Monastery where in 1508, the first book from Romania was printed.

Campulung Muscel is located as well, 30 minute away, towards the mountains, where you can reach Potcoava Mountain Hideaway, where you can enjoy horseback riding and local food, Namaesti Monastery - a rock caved monastery and Campulung Mausoleum.

One hour away you can reach the mountains and beautiful places such as Ialomita Cave, Dambovicioara Cave, Bolboci Dam and Piatra Craiului Mountains.

The Space

When no one believed in "Apple Land" we decided to put it back on the map, promoting the area through a unique location, created to harmoniously combine the premium décor elements, carefully chosen with the natural elements of the apple orchard, that will offer you a wonderful experience, relaxation, tranquility, delight.

The energy of the place embraces you from the moment you enter the space, and the old apple trees warmly greet you with their fruits.

We offer you 6 double rooms, 4 having ensuite bathrooms, 2 with private bathroom across the hallway, a spacious living room offering you a generous space to relax, have fun and enjoy quality time with friends or family.

The kitchen is fully equipped and bears our imprint through the turquoise of the deep sea and the warm wood from the orchard. The espresso machine grinds freshly roasted coffee and turns it into an aromatic liqueur and ready to wake you up. The kitchen island is the ideal place to enjoy breakfast with your loved ones.

Each room offers you a desk and a carefully chosen chair, which can be your perfect office away from home. Equipped with high speed internet, a generous screen TV in the living room that can easily become a monitor for presentations, the villa has been designed to meet the needs of current conditions: remote work, board meetings, business meetings, review meetings or creating the company's strategy, team buildings or meetings with business partners, all with an audience of up to 12 people.

The 4 terraces of the villa, together with the garden covered by green lawn, guarded by the fire pit and beautiful roses, offer you a multitude of perfect places for fun, relaxation, simply admiring the landscape or the full moon that rises between the hills.

Barbeque and outside hammocks, together with huge "Puff" pillows offer you the space to enjoy the nature.

The adventure children playground together with the playful cats will make the experience unique for your kids.

Private parking and the entire orchard serve as "playground" for both children and adults.

Events

In the autumn we harvest the apples , and you are welcome to join us. When the apples turn crisp and bright red, the harvest becomes the attraction of the area.

The secrets of harvesting and apple varieties are discovered by the curious who decide to visit us here, in the "kingdom" of Craita Merelor.

As soon as spring awakens nature to life, the orchard becomes the perfect place for an outdoor picnic, and photo sessions in the bloomed orchard are the delight of photography enthusiasts.
