I invite you to discover authentic Romania, in a spectacular setting, at the foot of Piatra Craiului Mountains.

It seems like time stopped in this place. Centuries-old crafts, customs and traditions were kept, being passed on from generation to generation.

The landscapes remained unspoiled and the wild life still continues its unhindered daily routine. Big carnivores, bears, wolves and lynxes sometimes make their presence felt at sheepfolds and households, but people learnt how to live with them. They understood the importance of the human/nature communion.

In this setting which looks like it's from a childhood fairytale, we built a cabin for the nature lovers, but also for those who are willing to unravel a lifestyle which is long gone from the rest of Europe.

My guesthouse has 2 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, a living room and an open space kitchen. The rooms are completely furnished and equipped. In addition to that, we provide all you need in terms of hygiene (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, shower gel, cap etc).

The construction is made from ecological materials (especially wood and old bricks), carefully forged by local craftsmen.

Here, you will get silence and privacy. You can enjoy our 3000 mp garden or, if you are an adventurer, you have tens of thousands acres of natural reservation.

The Piatra Craiului Ridge is loved by climbing enthusiasts, photography lovers and researchers. Over 1170 species of plants, over 40 species of mammals and over 200 species of butterflies found their paradise here. Many of these species are protected by law, as they are in danger of extinction.

We do not accept visitors, other than the people we accommodate.

For dining, we work with some restaurants from the area which are delivering to us as catering services.

Oor recommendations

Climbing the Piatra Craiului Ridge, recommended only to experienced tourists;
Observing the rock butterfly in the Zarnesti Gorges and the mountain goats in the higher grounds;
Watching the sunshine in the villages from the foot of the mountain: Măgura, Peștera, Șirnea, to admire the ridge in all its glory;
Admiring the mountain flowers, like the Piatra Craciului daisy or the edelweiss, or other species of orchid, like the blood of the mighty flower or the lady's slipper flower;
Hiking to Cerdacul Stanciului and Marele Grohotiș;
Visit to the Bran Castle (Draculașs Castle);
Visit to the Rasnov Citadel;
Trip with the children to the Dino Park in Rasnov;
Visit to the bear sanctuary in Zarnesti.

Just amazing, would come back a million times

Just came back from our 2-day stay at King's Rock Cabin. Everything about this place is just amazing: the view, the cabin, the silence, the amenities. It was great way to disconnect from the urban stress. We enjoyed every minute here. The communication with the host was great, he made sure that we had everything we needed. Honestly I think this is in my Top 3 rentals. I would come back here anytime.

That kind of place where you have mixed feelings about spending more time indoor, to enjoy the cosy cabin or outside, to explore the surroundings, as it is verry well placed. The window wall is the piece of resistance, as you can enjoy the view from indoor. Sparkling clear, loved all the details and appreciate the host hospitality. Strongly recommended!

We loved everything about our stay. The design and facilities, amazing view, the surroundings are beautiful with lots of things to to. The host is very polite and helpful, and the cabin is very clean and equipped with everything you need. We also made a new friend, Cioco :D

Everything is beautiful about this place: the design and facilities of the cabin, the wonderful view, the nice and welcoming hosts and the cutest dog ever, Cioco :) The cabin is very clean and well equipped with everything you need and those bathtubs are amazing! Strongly recommend it!
