At Conacu’ Boierului in Ponoarele, Mehedinți, we have brought the comfort of 4- and 5-star hotels, dressing it in an archaic décor that transports you into the simple yet noble life of olden days—without compromising on luxury, because here tradition blends harmoniously with modernity.
A love for folklore and traditional costume lay at the heart of this boutique guesthouse’s design. Traditional motifs from all across the country can be found at every turn, highlighted through hand-painted artwork on the façade, walls, and furniture, as well as through carved and fretworked elements in wood and rough stone masonry, in an effort to revive the Brâncovenesc style.
