Description
Pensiunea Amonte is a boutique guesthouse in Valea Avrigului, Sibiu County, tucked at the foothills of the Făgăraș Mountains, about 30 minutes from Sibiu. We offer 10 accommodation units — 8 double rooms and 2 family studios — for up to 24 guests, in an intimate, quiet setting.
Amonte is built around mountain relaxation: a jacuzzi, sauna, a fireplace lounge, a panoramic terrace overlooking the Făgăraș Mountains, and an outdoor firepit for cool evenings. The bar and lounge area is the natural place to unwind at the end of the day, by the fire or out on the terrace. Across the road from the guesthouse, along the riverbank, there's a nearby spot where guests can spend time outdoors.
The location puts nature right at the doorstep. From here you can quickly reach the deer farm at Poiana Neamțului, Brambura Park, mountain trails toward Bârcaciu, Negoiu and Suru, as well as Sibiu's medieval old town, all within an hour. Nearby you'll also find the Brukenthal Palace in Avrig, the "Valea Zânelor" Clay Castle in Porumbacu de Sus, the Viking House and Povestea Calendarului.
For groups, Amonte can be booked out entirely — a private space just for you, well suited to family stays, retreats or corporate getaways in the mountains, with a dedicated room for groups. The house mascot is Bruno, a Bernese Mountain Dog. We do not, however, accept outside guests' pets. Bookings are made directly, by WhatsApp or phone.
At Amonte, good food and a good drink are part of the experience. The bar offers a wide range of options for every taste, and the house cocktail is the Amonte Spirit, made with fir syrup. Breakfast is included. We also host private and corporate events, with full catering available on request.
