Welcome to Villa Rihuini, a place dedicated to ecotourism and local authenticity — a genuine Saxon guesthouse located in the picturesque village of Richiș (Reichesdorf), Sibiu County. Surrounded by hills once covered with vineyards and orchards, Villa Rihuini offers you a unique Transylvanian wine-tourism experience in a traditional, authentic setting.
A Noble Wine Tradition, Carried Forward with Passion
Our family owns one of the last noble vineyards in Richiș, preserving the craft of winemaking passed down from generation to generation. Our wine is produced 100% by hand, using traditional tools, exactly as it was done in the past. A visit here means much more than a simple tasting — it is a journey back in time, where every sip tells the story of the place.
Accommodation in a Restored Traditional Saxon House
At Villa Rihuini, you will stay in a nearly two-century-old Saxon house, carefully restored using ecological materials (linseed oil, natural lime, mineral-based paints).

Amazing place
A great restored house with all the facilities needed for a good stay. Friendly hosts, good location, from where you can easily reach Richis, Biertan, Sighisoara. Should I mention the wine? It was my favorite part. :) No headache in the morning. Will I be back? For sure? Do I recommend it? Yes, with an open heart. Congratulations for all your work!
Such an authentic experience!
We had a great experience at Ruihini, thanks to our hosts! It is a very authentic place, an old saxon house, where every item, every furniture, every cloth has been restored. The yard is also a wonderful place to be, especially during autumn, when you can admire the whole nature from the swing. If you are a wine lover, you will love their assortments. They are derived from the famous Richis Wine. They also have a pantry, where you can try the local jam and zacusca. Totally recommend!
Welcome home
Me and my family stayed for a week at Villa Rihuini, working from home, enjoying the country life, and taking some time away from the busy city. Despite this being our first time at the Villa, we felt home from the moment we walked in. Both the village, the house with all its comforts and Alex and his family make sure your stay was relaxing and worry free. Our young children enjoyed the rural scenery, feeding the chickens, playing with the dogs and bunnies, and taking horse carriage rides into the hills to chase the sheep and enjoy a picnic with views of the Saxon villages and their towering fortified churches. Highly recommend Villa Rihuini to anyone of any age. Thanks Alex for your hospitality and mom for the wonderful meals!

Rihuini is a fairytale place, full of history and positiv vibes. I really love my experience in this house and I will come back for sure. People are very nice and friendly and the wine very tasty and natural. I really recomand an experience here! Cheers
Great experience!
If you dare to try another type of tourism, you might be amazed. Great place in Richis, in the middle of the Transylvanian fortified churches area, close to any point of interest: Biertan, Sighisoara, Sibiu, etc. Very comfortable place, the hosts make you feel better than home, food is all local product, and the big plus is that the owner is also a wine producer. All accommodation needed, great yard still full of flowers and green in October, at least an Owl in the trees around to fill the silence and a happy dog #Beny to make you smile.
