The structure was designed as a holiday home which eventually turned, after considerable renovation work, into a permanent residence. We then began offering it to guests intrigued to discover our story. We hoped that by doing so we would revive and cultivate our somewhat lost selfes.

This traditional cozy cabin, is made of thick wooden logs, brought all the way from Harghita mountains to Hunedoara. It is equipped with everything that you may need and offers a modern stay while at the same time offering you snapshots of the past.

To preserve authenticity we have invested considerable time in reconditioned furniture, we have decorated the cabin with war-woven rugs and hand-sewn paintings. These paintings are more than decor to me. They sew me with my ancestry since they were made by my grandparents while they were still enjoying their maybe very different to now youth years.

The cabin also diplays some elements from the not so long socialist past of my late parents. These are souvenirs from their travels to Russia. We also have an impressive collection of coins, maps and travel notes acquired over the years and aim to symbolize our transition to the present.

Price: 27 Eur/pers. (The house can be booked for minimum 2 pers.).

Cleaning fee: 18 Eur/stay.
