Overview

A holiday rich in new experiences, perfect for adventurers, families of groups of friends.
We will start our trip up un the hill, around a bonfire, with stories about places we will see and people we will meet the next days.
We will hike in the valleys or along gorge, will explore caves, will bike over the hills, through villages and glades, we will climb a via ferrata route and will visit a traditional pottery workshop where we will can even shape the clay with our hands.
We will enjoy local food and listen, over a glass of drink, stories and events, from present times or as old as the world.
It will be an escape in a time and space from which we will return home richer and more settled.

HIGHLIGHTS

What you will do

Day 1

Arrival at Runcuri hamlet. Check-in, Camp fire, presentation of the area, details about the trip programme for the next days, Q&A. Dinner and overnight at the guesthouse.

Day 2

Breakfast at the guesthouse. Hiking along Cuților Gorge. Visit the pottery workshop in Rosia village. Picnic lunch or lunch at a local guesthouse.
Visit Farcu Crystal Cave. Hike along the thematic route Discover Rosia Valley.
Return to the guesthouse. Rest, dinner, overnight.

Day 3

Breakfast at the guesthouse. Morning: exploration trip to Dobis Cave (tourist cave).
Lunch. Then biking in Rosia area: Rosia village – Curătura hamlet – Căbești village – Rosia village.
Return to the guesthouse. Dinner, overnight.

Day 4

Leave the guesthouse and travel to Șuncuiuș in Crișului Repede Gorge, for via ferrata.
Depending on the weather, the daily programmes can be changed (but the activities remain the same). On the last day, if the climbing walls are wet, the via ferrat activity can be replaced with a rafting trip on Crișul Repede River.

Included/Excluded

  • Accommodation: 3 nights accommodation at a local family’s guesthouse, rooms with 2 beds, ensuite bathrooms, heating, hot and cold water permanently.
  • Meals: all meals starting with dinner on day 1 and ending with lunch on day 4. Meals are cooked from organic ingredients from the owner’s household and garden. Vegetarian and vegan food available. Tourists who have allergies are kindly asked to mention this in advance so that this aspect will be taken into consideration during the menu preparation.
  • Guidance and tourist assistance. Certified guides with experience in guided hiking trips, caving and via ferrata. Trip preparation and organization.
  • Caving helmets, head torches, caving overalls, bikes, trekking poles, via ferrata kit.
  • Entrance tickets for Farcu Crystal Cave.
  • Transport (We can provide transport on demand).
  • Personal foods and drinks, souvenirs.
