The story of SERVE winery starts in 1993 since a french count, Guy Tyrel de Poix, visited for the first time Romania.

Guy learned about the Romanian viticultural potential from Hugh Johnson’s « World Atlas of Wines » (1987 print). It took Guy more than 1 year to find the perfect winery in order to work with, during all this time Mihaela was by his side in his quest. Their searches ended when the two of them, Mihaela and Guy, came by on what used to be called, on those times, Dyonisos Ceptura, an undersized winery that just took off from IAS Urlati Dealu Mare : being the first winery that used to smell like wine, clean, taking the opportunity to taste Feteasca Neagra for the first time in their life, made by an young oenologist Aurel Rotarescu.

So, since 1994 Mihaela, alongside with Guy and Aurel are writting SERVE’s history togheter.

The decision was taken to go separate ways from Dyonisos building a brand new winery – the place that today SERVE’s wines are born and for the last 20 years everything is taking shape.

The vineyard is spreaded in more parcels, just a few kilometers away from the winery, every grape variety finding its own place under the sun, depending on the slopes. The red grape varieties are plantetd on the stepest slopes with calcarous soil, being so beneficial for the grapes, resulting ripe berries , juicy and flavorful. On the opposition, the withe grape varieties are located on the cooler areas, in order to keep all the acids that makes our wines joyful and refreshing.

Today there are 65 hectars of vineyards in Dealu Mare region that belongs to SERVE, with an average of 15 years of age. Is well known to everyone that loves SERVE’s wines that we are pouring into our glasses Dealu Mare’s « terroir ».

We are always happy to welcome our guests and we are delighted to show you what it means for us over 25 years of experience in the beautiful world of vineyards and wines.

Whether you come with friends, colleagues or business partners, we are pleased to present you where and how we make wines, how we take care of the vineyards, how we capitalize the “terroir” and even to invite you to personalized tastings!

Since 2012, we host small private events for wine enthusiasts and organize tastings for them under the dome of our pavilion, which has a total capacity of 35 people and access to a spacious courtyard.

For tastings and visits to the winery, we have different presentation options, which we make for a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 participants, in the current context. During the alert state the groups will consist of 2-10 guests.

Visits are organized by appointment, at least 5 days in advance. We are a small team and because we want you to feel good in our winery, we want to be able to organize in time.
