We are Roxana and Florin, a family who decided to leave the hectic life of Cluj and move to this remote heaven corner, called Breb, in Maramures county. We started our project in August 2015, with our first traditional old wooden house, Casa din Vale. Our mission is to save traditional Maramureș wooden houses, by partly restoring and renovating them and after that, transforming them into cozy village guesthouses. Currently we have 7 houses, of which 5 can be booked.
1. Casa din Vale, our first house, brought from another part of the village and rebuilt with great care. It has two bedrooms in the attic, each one with two single beds, a room on the ground floor with a double bed, a kitchenette and a bathroom and an outstanding mountain view. Also, the house has a barbeque and an outdoor space for meals.
2. Casa Faina(Pretty house) has been brought from 45 km away and offers accommodation for 4 people in two bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed, and the second has two single beds. It also has a kitchen, a bathroom and a relaxation/reading room. The house has an amazing 360° view.
3. Sura lu’ Costan or Costan’s Barn bears the name of the one who built it for the first time and we brought it from somewhere near the village. It’s suitable for 6 pers. and offers two bathrooms, a dining space and a kitchen. The house offers an amazing open space attic with mountain view and an outdoor terrace in a breathtaking scenery.
4. Casa Călina or Aunt Călina’s house is the first house we didn’t have to move. We kept its name after the old owner. It can accommodate up to 5 pers. in two rooms, a bathroom and a kitchenette. A mix of cottage&traditional&hygge, also a generous open space attic. The house has a wonderful backyard with an old well, amazing views, hammocks and places to serve drinks and food.
5. Casa cu Dor is our smallest house, but very comfortable. It has a room with three places, a dining space, a small kitchen and a bathroom.
6. Casa Noua has a capacity of 3 guests and it has a double bed and an extensible sofa, a kitchen with all you need and a bathroom.
We are KID FRIENDLY! Baby cots, high chair, toys, name it! Our little girls will be happy to have company and meet your kids! This is a wonderful enviroment for kids, the nature, cows and horses in the fields, seeing families working the haystacks or having diffrent activities together.
We are PET FRIENDLY! Just let us know in advance you are bringing a fluffy friend!
