“Food is a source of love that we explore all our life. A love that nourishes and develops along with your history, ethnicity, region and family. ” says chef Nico Lontras, executive chef at Casa Timiş, who started his career 23 years ago, spending 20 years in northern Europe.
Upon his return to Romania he dedicated himself to the reinterpretation of the Romanian cuisine and is currently known for this direction which he proposes out of passion and which is based on the belief that Romanian cuisine is a treasure that must be preserved and developed.
Chef Johnny Şuşală, a self-taught perfectionist and executive sous-chef at Casa Timiş has constantly reinvented himself in his more than 20 years of kitchen experience, working with renowned chefs such as Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsey.
Passionate about gastronomy, ambitious and dedicated, Johnny is a chef who puts his soul into everything he creates, making the most of his passion and talent with a perfect attention to every detail.
The two put their fingerprint and personal signature on Casa Timiş’s gastronomy in the reinterpretation of traditional Romanian and international dishes to fine gastronomy standards.
With a careful eye over each dish, they bring on the plate different textures, flavours and colours, which are harmoniously balanced. Their preparations honors the seasonal ingredients in which they try to preserve as much of the nutrients as possible, for a perfect taste and a state of well-being that lasts as long as possible.
Casa Timiş has 2 restaurants: a restaurant with a Romanian specific reinterpreted with a capacity of up to 80 places, a wine cellar restaurant (50 places), an indoor and outdoor terrace with a capacity of 80 places and a Mediterranean restaurant called Veranda dintre Vii, entirely made of glass with retractable roof and walls and a capacity of 100 people.
