Situated on the banks of the Kormos river, Kormos Residence is a hunting lodge as well as a time machine, taking visitors back to 1984, the year of its completion and the heyday of Ceaușescu.
This lavish villa, built for the leader, is furnished with the original furniture and tapestries, wardrobes and tables have remained untouched exuding both grandeur and a sense of homelike comfort.
The lodge has 5 spacious double rooms named after their most common guests: Nicolae, Elena, the Doctor’s room, the General’s room, and the room of the personal guards. The total capacity of the building is 15 guests. The lavish common areas complement the comfortable private rooms.
In the private garden you also have a grill-hut at your disposal to be able to enjoy a DIY grill dinner in the tranquillity of the forest assisted by our devoted stuff.

There is nothing more thrilling than observing bears, these furry-cute but respect commanding predators, from a safe hideout. Bear watching enables us to examine these noble animals, their lifestyle, habits and behaviour in their natural habitat.
Take a look ‘over the hedge’ into the lives of bears from a safe and cozy cabin! Bring only your camera, we take care of all the rest.
In the richest mountain stream in the country, you can learn the basics of trout fishing, under the supervision of experienced trout fishermen. We provide all the equipment to catch the biggest trout. Qualified anglers have a unique experience with fish-rich Kovács and Kormos brook.
