Being located in the north-western part of the Gutâi mountains, Creasta Cocoşului is part of the protected areas of Romania. This was carved in the past by the andesite formations of the volcanic crater that erupted nine million years ago. Today, the Creasta Cocosului Reservation has turned into a perfect oasis to explore for any traveller eager for a new adventure.
Simplicity is the vision that emphasizes our project, so we used most of our great-grandparents wisdom to creat this great experience. Year by year, we develop here a healty and true living, without wifi or TVs. We encourege you to live like the villagers do. You will be delighted to see many animals, some of them are in folds, others wander around freely, but they are all friendly with the guests.
To live in a simplistic community, you will experience what it means to be greeted by the neighbours or simply by the strangers you will meet through the village. As in our grandparents’ days, in Budesti the horseshoes are manually nailed to the horses’ hooves, the pigs are fed with natural food and milk. Animals are still raised as in the old days, agriculture is still done as before, not chemically, not synthetic.
We are cheerful, vigorous and energetic people, we like laughing, enjoying life and romping outdoors! Whether we learn how to make sponge cakes together, visit the craftsmen or campfire, we fully enjoy everything that Maramureş means! Being your wedding, your child’s christening or your company’s team-building, we can manage anything! Because we’re Maramures people!
