Description
AlmaCalma Guesthouse is a haven for those seeking peace, nature and an authentic escape in the heart of Transylvania. Located in Alma Vii village, Sibiu County, this beautifully restored historic house now shines with freshness and offers stunning views of one of the most charming fortified churches and the hills surrounding the village.
THE HOUSE
Built in 1850, right in the heart of the village, in front of the fortified church, AlmaCalma preserves the charm of traditional Saxon architecture. Recently renovated with care and respect for its authenticity, the house stays true to traditional building techniques and natural materials. The restoration was led by an architect passionate about preserving old homes and monuments, with the work carried out by a talented team of local builders from Transylvania. The woodwork was crafted by a skilled artisan from the area and most of the furniture and items in the house are locally made.
The house has four comfortable rooms, each with its own bathroom, and a shared space with a kitchenette. While the kitchenette is not for cooking full meals, guests can use the small fridge, microwave, coffee machine, electric kettle, as well as dishes and cutlery.
THE GARDEN
The over 5000 sqm garden is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. You can lie in a hammock or on the grass among the trees and flowers, pick and taste fresh fruit or enjoy some garden games. The view of the fortified church and surrounding hills makes AlmaCalma a peaceful oasis, perfect for relaxation and inspiration.
LOCATION
AlmaCalma is located in the center of Alma Vii village, just 20 minutes from Mediaș, 45 minutes from Sighișoara, 1 hour from Sibiu, 1.5 hours from Târgu Mureș, and 2 hours from Cluj-Napoca. Situated in a unique rural setting, the house is an ideal base for exploring the most beautiful villages and towns in Transylvania, hiking through the hills and forests and enjoying a star-filled sky at night.
Those walking the Via Transilvanica, Terra Saxonum, can easily reach Alma Vii from Nemșa by crossing a hill.
GUESTS
AlmaCalma is perfect for those who love peace, nature, authentic Transylvanian culture and a slower pace of life. It is especially appreciated by artists and anyone looking to reconnect with their inspiration.
MEALS
There is a charming local dining spot located just across from AlmaCalma, at the fortified church. Reservations are required one day in advance.
Additional dining options are available in nearby villages and towns, including Mediaș, Sighișoara, and Sibiu.

Totul a fost minunat. Deși am fost într-un week-end friguros și ploios de toamnă, atmosfera de la Alma Calma a fost una foarte caldă. Ne-am relaxat lângă foc, savurând un pahar de vin și am vizionat un film la proiector. Casa tradițională e foarte frumoasă și cochetă, biserica fortificată se vede de la geam, gazdele au fost extrem de primitoare, s-au preocupat tot timpul să ne simțim bine și să nu ne lipsească nimic, si ne-au oferit recomandări despre masă și obiectivele din jur. Este un loc feeric din inima Transilvaniei care poate fi vizitat atât în sezonul cald, când și în cel mai rece, unde am reveni oricând cu mult drag și entuziasm. :)

Pe lângă „calma en el alma” se strecoară și multă, multă bucurie și recunoștință pentru aceste rânduri și pentru că, dintre atâtea locuri frumoase, ați ales să petreceți niște zile de toamnă la Alma Vii. Sunteți oaspeții minunați pe care AlmaCalma îi așteaptă cu drag oricând. Vă mulțumim și sperăm să veniți la noi în fiecare anotimp - noi încă nu știm care dintre ele are mai mult farmec în acest sat :).

Casa este absolut incantatoare, restaurata cu multa grija si atentie la detalii, emana seninatate, liniste si bun gust. Curtea este o oaza de relaxare unde poti sta in hamac la umbra unui copac si asculta bataile de aripi ale pasarilor din inaltul cerului, cu o priveliste minunata catre biserica fortificata din deal sau privi noaptea cerul instelat si Calea Lactee. Asa de bine ne-am simitit si ne-am incarcat bateriile incat abia asteptam sa revenim!
