Pensiunea Meander – Your Second Home Near Cluj-Napoca
Just 35 km from Cluj-Napoca, right next to the town of Gherla, lies the small village of Băița – once famous for its sulfur thermal baths.
Nestled among gentle hills in a peaceful valley, far from the noise of modern life, we have created a haven for lovers of tranquility, nature, rest, and genuine hospitality. Pensiunea Meander was built to embody these values, offering our guests complete physical and mental relaxation.
Our 1,000 m² guesthouse is designed in a warm rustic style, using natural materials and blending organic architecture with traditional folk motifs. Every corner tells a story through unique furniture, handmade crafts, and original artworks.
Restaurant
I’m Orsolya Szabó – “Orsy” to my family, friends, and guests. As a mother of five, healthy food has always been my passion. Healthy doesn’t mean tasteless—especially when cooking for picky little appetites—so I love combining traditional recipes with modern vegetarian and lacto-vegetarian influences.
Since opening Pensiunea Meander, my love for wholesome, flavorful food has extended to our guests. We strive to offer a healthy, affordable alternative to today’s overly processed meals, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
