Stay at Maria Theresa Mansion in a wooden log house with small and rustic windows. Each room has a terrace and is decorated in an Austrian, family, romantic style. The mansion has 16 rooms with matrimonial bed, SGL, DBL, TRL with beds in ‘Prici, for families with children (recommended for children aged 6 to 16) and 2 apartments with matrimonial beds with a total accommodation capacity of 52 guests.
Take your lover’s arm, a good book in hand, and we offer you a breakfast and a paradise of activities right in front of the door. From village walks, mountain hikes, team building activities, village museum visits and sporting activities like tennis, basketball, ping pong, billiards, bowling and more.
All our guests have free access to our pool during the summer, on sunny days, from June to September.

The Carol Restaurant, with a maximum capacity of 120 seats, has a traditional Romanian menu a la carte, with over 50% dishes prepared from lamb or sheep meat. This restaurant is very famous in Southern Transylvania for its cuisine. Our chef prepares chicken, beef, pork and fish dishes, seasonal salads and homemade desserts. The restaurant is part of Sibiu – Gastronomic European Region 2019. Guests can choose one of the two in-house restaurants as well as a bar menu with long drinks, cocktails, etc.
If you want to dine in a private setting, we offer the opportunity to host intimate parties in the Leopold Restaurant (upstairs) with a maximum capacity of 40 people. We also offer the opportunity to host private parties in the Ferdinand restaurant (upstairs) with a maximum capacity of 60 people. On demand.
We can organize events in Joseph Wine Cellar, a 250 years old prison dated to the reign of Emperor Maria Theresa, where the sommelier presents to you the best Romanian wines. We associate the wines with ripened cheeses from Marginimea Sibiului.

Maria Theresa mansion is located in the center of Orlat, just a few steps from the train station and a 20 minutes drive from Sibiu. If you are in Păltiniş and you enjoy skiing at Platoş Arena during the winter, you can reach us in 20 minutes by car for a meal or hot tea. Free Wi-Fi is available in the restaurant. Parking is free of charge in the limited space available.
