Gourmet stay in the Hartibaci Plateau: quiet days, with local flavor, in a small Transylvanian village where cultural diversity and greenery invite you to connect with yourself, nature and the locals.
In the Sibiu-Fagaras-Sighisoara triangle lies the Hartibaciului Valley, a region of pastures, meadows and forests with centuries-old trees, recognized for biodiversity, traditional crafts and brunches that highlight the culinary heritage. The village of Sasaus is hidden between hilly peaks and includes a handful of people willing to tell you the stories of the village and make the best local products available to you.
We invite you to discover Sasaus 24, an ideal place for escaping from the city and experiencing authentic rural experiences. You can start the morning with a breakfast rich in local tastes and various goodies from the household of Andrea, your host: bread with mayo, croissants with milk, omelette with greens, sorrel and leurde pesto, eggplant couscous, cheeses, homemade sausages, butter , home jams and jams, honey, milk, coffee, tea from plants picked from the garden.
Let yourself be surprised by the goodies found in the picnic basket, if you opt for a hike in Šomartin for lunch!
The sun goes down with a dinner with the flavors of childhood: spinach and aged cheese pie, chicken stew with green salad with oleaginous fruits and pancakes with homemade jams and jams of your choice. Vegan version: spinach pie, mushroom pie and green salad with oleaginous fruits, pancakes with jams and homemade jams.
Local drinks: raspberry syrup, sour cherry syrup, house wine, blueberry/raspberry, house brandy.
2 x double rooms: one downstairs with a double matrimonial bed (queen size) and another one upstairs with a double bed. Both rooms have their own toilet/bathroom with access from the hall of the house. The maximum capacity is 2 adults and one child, with an extra bed available.
Food cooked according to slow food principles. Breakfast rich in local tastes, lunch and dinner with flavors from childhood. An old house, carefully renovated, complete with outdoor space and breathtaking scenery as far as the eye can see.
