„Sura din Joseni” is located in the heart of Transylvania, at the foothills of Fagaras Mountains, in the village of Porumbacu de Sus, a place where you can relax, enjoy nature and the spectacular mountain view.
The house is located in Joseni, which means The Village Below, the local name of this part of the village it's a time capsule from the 80s, a nostalgic place where you can retrieve your childhood in a scenery which is specific to those times.
Our property has a generous garden which is composed of 2 houses, a barn, a terrace which has a wood-burning hob, a traditional stove for bread and a barbeque. Behind the barn you will find a garden with fruit trees, hammocks and lawn chairs where you can read or relax in any other way.
The big house was renovated in the 80s style and it has 2 suites, each having its own bathroom and a shared kitchenette with a dining place. The rooms are big and luminous, with furniture and decorations specific to that period.
The second house is restored in a traditional way, furnished with old Transylvanian furniture. It has a room with a double bed, a kitchenette and a bathroom.
In the barn you will find a museum of those times, a place where you can share memories. All the decorative elements will make you think of those old times. There is also a kitchen which is equipped in retro style with modern home appliances, a space where you can find decorative objects from the 80s and watch movies on video-projector.
The spectacular stairway which starts from the middle of the barn leads you to the attic, a colourful and relaxing space where you can spend time with family or friends, play chess, checkers, cards or read books.
