The Magic Cottage is a Homestay.
Situated in a peaceful village 3.5 kilometers from the famous Salina Praid and 15 kilometers from the beautiful spa town of Sovata, The Magic Cottage offers modern comfort in a newly renovated old traditional cottage. Set in an English style cottage garden, at the top of the village, guests can enjoy absolute peace and relaxation.
The loft has been converted into a spacious apartment with an extremely comfortable Queen size bed and a a luxurious bathroom with stand alone slipper bath and it's own terrace overlooking the garden and the forest.
There is another downstairs terrace for breakfast.
Guests are welcome to use the cottage kitchen. Please co-ordinate with Rosie and the kittens.
The guests have their own private entrance to the property. There is parking in the lane outside the cottage. I'm an experienced host. I'm living in a cabin on the property and I'm always available to assist guests.
The water supply can be interrupted in times of severe drought.
The last 750 meters of the road to the house is a rustic village lane.

Cosy birthday gift :-)
On my boyfriend's birthday, I brought him to one of the most beautiful, tasteful, and colourful places we've slept in during our 14 years of travelling together.
Magic Cottage, Magic Rosie
Everything is magic at Rosie. The view, the cottage, the design, the Rosie puts the breakfast and waits for you and the vibe. It is a wonderful energy and silence, that you feel you are born again. We stayed for 3 nights and we visited the Salina Praid, Sighisoara and Corund with the ceramic shops. If you go to Corund visit and ask for the Ilyes Family. The have a nice shop and ceramics workshop were you can create everything you wish. There are really nice and warm people everywhere you go.
Thank you, Rosie for reminding us how to apreciate the simple things.
It was amazing. I wish all romanians should learn how to be the perfect host from you. Simply amazing.

A dreamy loft in the attic
You really have to book this place! It brings a lot of tranquility and a great mix of cultures that you wonșt find anywhere else in Romania. Rosie, the host, has a magic power to make you feel like home from the very begining of your stay.
The place is so nice decorated and we had a great sleep in the nicest indian bedsheets Ișve ever slept in. The room is warm during the winter and makes you want to stay inside, reading a book or just enjoy doing nothing.
The kitchen is very well equiped but if you donșt want to cook there are plenty of good restaurants in Praid or Sovata.
We enjoyed the silence, the dim light during the evenings, the beauty that surrounds you all over the place. You wonșt see all of it it in the photos, trust me.
Rosie has another magic power that made us to put the place on the list for future stays.We are defintely coming back!
We had a great stay at the Magic Cottage. The room is beautiful, quiet and filled with natural light during the day. All the facilities were clean and well tended after. There is also a kitchen available for cooking, very well equipped. We also used the room to work remotely and the wifi was very good.
During our stay the weather was cold and snowy so it was perfect that inside everything is cozy and warm and the room has plenty of sitting places where one can cuddle with a good book. Besides the close-by attractions in Praid and Sovata, near the cabin there are beautiful hills and a forest where we took walks during the afternoon.
We felt very welcome here and hope to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the beautiful courtyard and terrace.
Extremely lovely and nice place!
I would start by telling that this place is from the fairy-tales! We were a couple and stayed for 6 nights. The room is more beautiful than pictures, it's lovely and very cozy. Also the place is what we have searched for, beautiful landscapes to watch while enjoying a coffee, lovely cats to play with, super clean and more than 4* hotel conditions.
And more than that, Rosie is a super host indeed and an enjoyable person! We appreciated the time we spent with her, talking and sharing experiences and also appreciated the level of caring for the customers.
This was a 5* stay. We will definitely come again in the summer to stay and enjoy the surroundings and a cup of coffee with Rosie.
